The True Nature of the Heart
Controlling people is easy. You only have to soak them in fantasy.
Until about the age of three, humans too live, just like animals other than humans, in a world brimming with love, with no suffering at all and nothing but the felt sense of comfort. That is "the true face of the Earth." It is "nirvana," what the Buddha called "the world beyond life and death," and it is by no means a world after death; it exists here on this earth. But humans acquire language, and when the "eternal nine-year-old (the ego)" arises, they confine themselves in a "world of fantasy," a straight line connecting past and future, and are expelled from this paradise. You are now being reared inside a fantasy.
In the world there are Logos (composite awareness × spatial thinking = inhabitants of the "real spatial world," who can develop logic and exercise self-control), whose felt sense, thought and heart are still alive, and Pathos (single awareness × flat fantasy = inhabitants of the "single-fantasy world," who cannot develop logic and cannot control themselves), who have lost felt sense, thought and heart and can do nothing but irreversibly update, and impose, a single sheet of ego-fantasy that says "I am right." But within every person there exist three awarenesses: the "eternal nine-year-old," the "eternal three-year-old" and the "eternal zero-year-old."
The eternal nine-year-old is the "ego," the artificial consciousness of humans that arose because we acquired language (a fantasy consciousness that merely tries to think what it wants to think). The eternal three-year-old and the eternal zero-year-old are natural consciousnesses called the "heart."
"Freedom" is written as "to take oneself as one's ground," but the true self is not the ego but the heart, and "true freedom is to move with the voice of one's own heart as one's ground."
I think something like "the feeling of being guided by comfort" is what I mean. But this "comfort" and other "felt sense," as well as "thought," "heart" and "freedom," exist only inside a circle of one metre radius around your own centre.
I will call this area of the "living, breathing self," from here on, one's "own domain." Outside the circle of this domain is merely a "black-and-white backdrop" (at present: the sets, props and actors of a civilisation ruled by fantasy), and no matter how you search within this backdrop or along the timeline, neither heart nor freedom exists there.
Instead, for example, when someone dearly beloved enters the circle of your own domain and you feel "I want to hold them," that is the voice of the eternal three-year-old's heart. And when, for example, in your own domain you take a huge deep breath with your whole body and feel "I want to breathe more slowly, more deeply," that is the voice of the eternal zero-year-old's heart. Moving just as that voice of the heart says can be called "true freedom."
The ego and the body are vehicles for the heart (and the spirits that dwell in it; the same below), and exist only for the "maintenance of life" as empty boxes. If the heart is one's subject, then both the ego and the body exist in order to "provide a good environment for the heart."
Because it is the heart that "feels," there is no need for the ego to butt in and evaluate or act. And because it is the heart that "thinks," one should not try to intervene in the heart's thinking, which goes on out of the ego's sight, but should devote oneself only to continuing to deliver "peace," "good breathing" and "comfort" to the unseen depths of the heart.
It is not difficult. Completely cut off conceptual information, and simply keep on "staring" (jii-tto), and the heart will start to move at once, remember its comfort, the eyes will naturally want to close, and the breathing will deepen.
That is your "home position," the "ground of the heart" (comfort). Meditating first thing in the morning, without eating breakfast, is the most effective.
Just as the character for "busy" is written "to lose the heart," "time of doing nothing" is the true time in which you can act "freely" as the heart wills, and can be said to be the most important time in living.
That was the story, up to here, of the world of "Do not fantasise; seek the voice of the heart."
Even with "infinite money" and "infinite time," as long as you choose from options someone else made, you will die without ever knowing freedom.
The correct answer is always within you.
If you are ruled by desire, and come to interpret reality to your own convenience in order to protect your self-image in a delusional world, then until the moment you die you are a "livestock of concepts" and a "slave of desire." To begin with, "reality is not something to be made"; "reality is something to be led to." It is not about advancing toward a fantasy dream, but about how, quite the opposite, you listen to the atmosphere of the moment. That is the only way to escape from being a machine-human who has lost will, and to resonate with the will of unseen beings (the spirits = what in Japan are called the gods).
The Existence of the Soul
The "universe" and the "soul" that I am about to speak of are by no means occult or spirituality for escaping this world. It is a story about the "real breath," the original function of living things that humanity was made to lose through the rule of concepts, and about our network with great nature.
I have told you that "the ego-consciousness that is the subject of human cognition is an artificial consciousness that arose after birth through the acquisition of language, a 'false soul,' and that the heart is the 'true soul.'" If you aim for "the extreme of heart and freedom," then
Give up chemical substances such as "alcohol," "tobacco products," "recreational cannabis," "sleeping pills and similar drugs," "chemical seasonings such as Ajinomoto (MSG)," "pesticides such as neonicotinoids" and "bad oils such as refined oils," and, "having made the patterns and mist seen when the eyes are closed (= turbidity of the space of consciousness) vanish as completely as possible,"
continue "a dance in which you alternately lift one foot's heel only, at the off-beat (hi-hat) timing, in 'off-beat heel stepping,' while the upper body moves 'freely' on the on-beat," to release the heart (body),
somewhere obtain the "sense of entrusting and offering" and release the true breath too,
and super-concentrate on the instant "now" and "enter the world of the instant (setsuna)."
That, I think, is the shortest route (the E.L.T. route, which can be reached in as little as four hours if the conditions are met).
In that world without any suffering there may exist "a third certain thing" similar to "the mystery of conception" and "a mother's love." It would be best to go with your beloved and your family. It seems some people also reach it by training for more than 15 years in various "ways" such as the tea ceremony.
Conversely, for nerds who are interested only in the "pure white world where time and space stop," where there is only "the sound of this very moment" rather than a song, and "one's own consciousness," or in the "spiritual universe" or "soul separation," there is also a shortcut that skips the three-piece set of heart, technique and body: "breath (the sensor cells at the back of the throat), inner eye and chakra." It is to "close the eyelid of the chakra and sleep while awake."
But if we have a "meaning of life," I think that in the end it is "to exhale a comfortable breath from the chakra into the universe."
The planet Earth exists originally in order to emit a comfortable "fluctuation" toward the universe. That is precisely why transmitting a comfortable breath from the chakra into the universe is the final purpose of living beings.
But this is not about doing special training and consciously heading toward the universe. Simply by our abandoning fantasy and returning to "the true face of the Earth (the comfortable world without suffering)" that animals other than humans, and children up to the age of three, take for granted, it is achieved naturally and perfectly. On the original Earth, all life, merely by living, perfectly accomplished this transmission of comfortable fluctuation to the universe.
For that, we are protected by the "Oyadama" (parent soul), who is the universe itself and the guiding god beyond the link channel of the "chakra," and by the "Kagedama" (shadow soul), who is your alter ego and staff officer, watching over you without suffering or pain from 2 to 3 metres above, in the link channel "slightly behind the crown of the head."
The shadow soul is the "soul of wisdom" that governs most of the abilities useful for us to live through the "real spatial world." Specifically, these are "spatial recognition" and "spatial thinking" (rational judgement), in which multiple consciousnesses are organically combined and logic is developed simultaneously.
The shadow soul also governs the "lifting of the breath," so if you observe your baseline inhalation volume, you can tell "the state of the shadow soul."
In the world there are Logos (composite awareness × spatial thinking = inhabitants of the "real spatial world," who can develop logic and exercise self-control), whose felt sense, thought and heart have survived, and Pathos (single awareness × flat fantasy = inhabitants of the "single-fantasy world," who cannot develop logic and cannot control themselves), who have lost felt sense, thought and heart and can do nothing but irreversibly update, and impose, a single sheet of ego-fantasy. The difference is whether the shadow soul is active: those whose shadow soul is in an active state are Logos, and those whose shadow soul is in a dormant state are Pathos.
The chakra that connects with the parent soul is precisely the "umbilical cord" for connecting with the parent soul in the spiritual universe, the world of only consciousness and ki that spreads in the same place as the particle space where our physical bodies exist.
Besides spiritual nourishment, if you clean the space of consciousness and "listen closely," various voices fall down as reflexes. This is a story of the world of "Don't think, feel."
Also, when the sun deity descends, you are wrapped from here in a very bright, divine, truly golden world. The paintings of Amaterasu Omikami and Jesus, and the feeling inside the golden main halls of temples, are quite close to that scene.
Incidentally, when you take sugars (carbohydrates and sugar), the food of the ego-consciousness, the space of consciousness is dirtied by the ego's thinking noise, as if after looking at written information, so it is better to limit sugars to only what is contained in "gluconeogenesis from protein as the staple food" and "tree nuts (fruits) as the source of vitamins."
However, if you switch the brain's metabolism to ketone-body metabolism, the breath becomes the most beautiful, big, best sine curve, but the spiritual connection goes down along with the breaker. If you are in ketone metabolism, it would be good to take an appropriate amount of sugars, as planned, only before dancing.
To rejoice that there is nothing there other than our own hearts, and to share it. To be able to move the body pleasantly like a cat in the sun is the utmost happiness.
The smiles of a family sharing the most pleasant breath in great nature. For living beings there is no pleasure surpassing breathing. It is now about time that we, as a matter of course, have the right of the soul (the heart) to breathe returned to us.
If you take medication prescribed by a doctor, including sleeping pills, stopping suddenly can make you unwell. Please reduce or stop only after talking with your doctor. If you have a medical condition, consult your doctor before changing your diet (for example, cutting carbohydrates).
